Best Big and Tall Patio Chairs

We’re all staying so much closer to home these days, some of us are barely leaving it at all! I think a lot of folks are looking for ways to make our places more comfortable to spend all our time in. One of my favorite places to chillax has always been a porch, patio or back yard -- basically anywhere I can sit and relax outdoors. Now that we’re all spending so much more time at home, I think it's a good time to look into some better patio furniture.

Cheap plastic chairs are not the way to go when you are a fatty. I have experienced the humiliation of one of those chairs breaking under my weight in front of a large group! But even if they could support my weight, they are not comfortable. The world is uncomfortable enough right now. If we're stuck at home, let's make our outdoor living spaces inviting and relaxing!

There are so many different options! Do you need an outdoor dining set? Do you want some loungers? I’m focusing on dining seating, I’ll do loungers, benches, hammocks and other styles in future posts. Also, I didn't realize how many different styles and types of patio seating existed! It’s overwhelming! Finally, I’m not reviewing the tables, I’m assuming you aren’t going to stand on your table. But ya know, you do you!

Chairs are tricky. When relaxing I like arms, but not if the seat is too narrow! Most chairs with arms are too narrow and bite into my hips. So I’ve got options with and without arms. When they have ample room for my hips, I go with arms, to sit, relax, and have a place to support them. But I know lots of fatties who just say NO to arms because they don't want to risk the issue. Your body, your choice!
